How To Build A Rapport With Your Audience

building an online rapport

David E. Maxwell Beats ProductionAs a Christian artist and music producer, I come across a lot of talented and gifted individuals in my social circle of networking. Many are hungry and thirsty for success but remain starved because of how they go about achieving it. If there is one thing I’ve learned, we must remain humble, lovable, and teachable. It’s also important that we are willing to work with others. We must be able to relate to our audience so that we know what their purpose and interest consist of on the internet. It will help us understand what content to generate and use for establishing a dialogue. When our rapport becomes stronger, the more likely we will gain trust and become valuable to our current and new followers.

Avoid Being Viewed As An Advertiser

online advertiserThere are many of us who think that by constantly flooding social media platforms and posting our products by saying things like, check me out, buy my cd today, new song release go and get it now, will lead to a fortune and tons of followers. This may lead to the exact opposite and in most cases, it’s called spamming. You can scream “Buy my album!” from a rooftop all day long to no avail. Sure, you might get a few likes and purchases here and there, but nothing meaningful or long lasting. The recommended approach would be to start a conversation, build a consistent relationship, then offer something of value such as a free product or service. Eventually, you will receive conversions including sales.

Relationships Should Be Inclusive

When we fail to first build a rapport with those we want to market to there is a lack of trust. When we neglect to work together and help others reach their full potential, we are left with no activity or feedback. Don’t illustrate it’s all about “me” and “my purpose only”. It shows a lack of unity, to say the least. This should not be, especially in the Christian community. Present yourself different and show that you honestly care about your audience and not trying to be on top of the Billboard chart.

We All Need Each Other

building an online social rapport

Let’s just pretend that we live in the world of willy wonka and the chocolate factory. For our meals, we must retrieve food in a gigantic willy wonka bowl using a super long spoon and handle. There are other artists and music industry professionals around the edge of the bowl who also must eat. The super long spoon makes it difficult for us to reach our mouth. What can we do using the tool given to us?

Now imagine again the same huge bowl of food. Only this time, when we retrieve food using the long spoon we extend the spoon across the bowl to feed the person in front of us and vice versa. Everyone catches on and now we all get to eat! This is just a simple illustration to voice that we all need each other in the kingdom of God!

Good Relationships Make Good Partnerships

In comparison to the music industry we have tools and resources that we can use, but many of us are neglecting to use them to help another! Let’s face it, the music industry can be very demanding at times. And as Christian artists, we know that the enemy would like nothing more than to draw us apart to discourage us and have us compete and fight among ourselves. I believe that if we take the time to communicate with our audience, share meaningful content that’s helpful, network with fellow industry sisters and brothers, and inspiring one another, we can reach our purpose and goals online. What say you? How do you feel about building a rapport?

LIGHT THE NIGHT MUSIC REVIEW

Light The Night By All The AstronautsAs I listened to the music of “All The Astronauts” (ATA), I felt as though I was taking a journey with this astronomical group to a special place of praise and worship. I love the way each song builds upon one another. The lyrics of each song really tells a story that many can relate to. It inspired, encouraged and brought comfort as I listen to the way they flow one after another.

The music is alive, energetic and grabs your attention. This album is full of emotion from the first song intro to the last song. If I had to pick a favorite it would be a difficult task because they are all so meaningful. Nonetheless, I would say track #5, “Come As You Are”. It’s a cover from The David Crowder Band. It tells a story of the need for hope and restoration amid sorrow and despair. There are so many who may want to come but allow their condition and situation to prevent them. This song takes away those barriers.

The album sounds like it’s a live performance, thus give you a truly unique worship experience. Not often does a band come along that have this level of anointing in their music. This is the type of music you can pop in your cd player and set on repeat to listen to over and over again.

All The Astronauts truly lives up to their name! They take you on a journey out of this world and ushers you in the presence of God!

CHURCH MUSIC SHOULDN’T BE BORING

It’s a phrase that All The Astronauts throw around a lot with their Foo Fighters, U2, Angels & Airwaves rock/alt modern worship style. Throw in some modernized hymns and you’re getting close to hitting the mark of describing what you’ll hear.

All The Astronauts - Light The Night

All The Astronauts (ATA) have been playing together for the better part of a decade as part of the worship ministry at Crosspoint Church in Fishers, IN, but it wasn’t until worship pastor/lead vocalist and guitarist PJ Towle started crowd funding a recording project in the summer of 2016 that the band took on the official form of ATA. Fueled by a deep passion for the church and connecting with people that don’t connect with Church as it’s been known, ATA’s sound grew organically as Towle introduced songs to the church. “I started writing these songs working through my own baggage with my faith,” says Towle. “Over the years these guys joined the band at Crosspoint and things just clicked. They all had the same drive that I did: to do what God wanted them to do with their music.”

After a successful, crowdfunding campaign the recording process began to show signs of larger aspirations for everyone involved. Towle explains, “I never wanted to be seen as a solo act so I had this ‘band name’ lined up to keep the focus off me (I’m just a guy who wears a lot of flannel). But as the recording process went on, it was pretty clear that everyone bought into the vision of what this thing was all about.” And, thus, the official All The Astronauts was born.

A Music Group Where You Can Rely On One Another

Interdependent Musician - Mutual RelianceAs an independent artist and music producer, I believe that although we call ourselves Independent, there is an underlay or unseen INTER-DEPENDENCE and RELIANCE that enables us to become unique in our Independence, (if you know what I mean). In fact, it’s the reason why I created a Facebook group called, “INTERDEPENDENT MUSICIANS (Mutual Reliance)”.

If you been around as long as I have in the music industry you will know that there will be times when you are going to need some help and assistance from someone else to reach your goals and get to your next level. I would also aim to say that not only in music or business but in just about every major area of our lives. We also must realize that goals and levels have similar concepts, but differ through stages. For example, you may want to reach a certain level in your career but you first must set some smaller goals to attain that level. Often this will incorporate the help from others.

Honor Covenant Relationships

Interdependent Musician - Mutual RelianceUnderstanding the importance of divinely connected relationships is a critical part of fulfilling Gods will and purpose for our lives. There are people God has “hooked” us up with, who are there to impart into and impact our lives so we can do what God has planned for us to achieve. It may be their wisdom, expertise, or knowledge that can help us or it may be a specific anointing on their lives that God wants to develop in us. We must be able to recognize and honor covenant relationships because they are bridges to our success. There is something about life that requires us to walk through it with someone else. God never intended for us to be islands. Relationships are the lifeblood of all human existence.

Sometimes people get offended and cut off their covenant relationships. However, I have discovered repeatedly that disconnecting from the people God has called to impart into our lives can set us back. If we want to grow and develop to use our talents and gifts, we must honor those relationships and maintain them. When we do, we will see things begin to take place in our lives for the better. I encourage you to evaluate your life and locate the relationships that are divinely ordained by God. These are the people God has called you to glean from and to help you grow. When you know who they are, cherish them. Sow into their lives and continue to receive their anointing. When you do, you will find the power and skills that operate in their lives will begin to operate in yours as well.

Who is Danny Hudson

Wash Me All Over - Danny HudsonPastor Danny Hudson is a passionate and skilled praise and worship leader, teacher, motivational speaker and singer-songwriter. He devotes his life to glorifying our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ both in word and deed. In 2014, Pastor Hudson founded Calvary Worship Center in Newnan, Georgia for worshipers and followers of Jesus Christ in his community to have a place of acceptance, encouragement, healing and inspiration.

Pastor Danny Hudson has been writing since his early childhood; initially writing and reciting poetry. He has always had a love of music of many genres, but was always drawn to gospel music. Influenced by the likes of Marvin Winans, Fred Hammond, and Commissioned, he has taken what he learned from those artists to bring life to his own projects.

A Project Created Out of Pain And Rebellion

Wash Me All Over was created out of pain experienced and rebellion against God. Like many, Danny thought he could do things according to his will and not God’s will. It wasn’t till Danny was driving down the street one day and tears came from his eyes. He told the Lord “wash me all over“. It became a life-changing experience for Danny. Not only did God give him the melody of a hit song, but also the lyrics. That was well over 10 years ago, and now God has allowed that moment to come to life. At the same time, God allowed Danny to know “There’s No Place Like Home“. It was a message Danny was compelled to include in his lyrics and project.

The Calling to Serve and Shepherd The Flock

Wash Me All Over - Danny Hudson Since his service in the United States Armed Forces, Pastor Hudson has felt compelled to serve the community in a variety of ways. He believes that our life experiences mold us spiritually and lead us to our own spiritual calling. Pastor Hudson accepted his calling to humbly serve and shepherd his flock through deliverance of the word and through uplifting music. In 2016, he founded The Calvary Help Project, Inc.; a non-profit humanitarian agency designed to assist the disadvantaged and less fortunate population in the Newnan, Georgia and surrounding communities. In January 2017, Pastor Hudson released his debut Album and single “Wash Me All Over”. He states that through his experiences, he was washed by the blood of the Lamb.

Who knew that a kid winning a talent contest in elementary school would eventually end up creating a professional album for the world to hear.

“Songs From The Deep” Are From Life Learned Lessons

Joyce Im Bartholomew will be the first to say she doesn’t have it all figured out, pointing instead to a daily dependence on Jesus’ guidance. It’s that humility and those lessons that shape Bartholomew’s music, mission, and passions. The lessons she learned, the situations she witnessed and the hopes within her heart have found their way around the nation into her new project, “Songs From The Deep”.

Struggles In Bartholomew’s Lengthy Marriage

Joyce Im Bartholomew inspiration for writing and producing her featured music videoFight For Our Marriage” comes from her own struggles in her lengthy marriage and from seeing too many people give up and divorce too quickly. Bartholomew saw the power of Christ heal her own broken marriage during the most hopeless and hateful state, and seen how much better and stronger the marriage was after reconciliation, forgiveness, acceptance, and love. She wants people not to give up so easily. She wants people to keep their families together. She wants people to honor their promises made before God. Bartholomew wants people to fight for their marriage!

Tour With Major Label Recording Artist

Music is Bartholomew’s passion! She has been performing since the age of 8 while growing up in Los Angeles. For a few years now, Bartholomew has been the volunteer spokesperson and opening act for pro-life fundraising concerts hosted by Mission PreBorn. Although Bartholomew resides in Florida with her husband and children, she has film, TV, and stage union status in Toronto, Canada. David E. Maxwell Beats ProductionDigital Audio Workstation (D.A.W.)

Most music producers know there are many recording software programs available today. Just to give some examples being utilized incorporates Steinberg Cubase, Propellerhead Reason, Ableton Live, Apple Logic Pro, Audacity, Cockos Reaper, FL-Studio, and Pro-Tools, which numerous producers consider to be the industry standard, as it should be. Some of the applications are intended and designed for DJ’s. While others are utilized for broadcasting, live performances, and digital musicians who may not play a single instrument. If a person has the creative skills to hear, imagine, and learn the functions of the software, then all they need to do is copy, paste, point, and click.

Why I Use Sonar X3 Producer

D.E.M. Beat ProductionsLike many, in the beginning, I started out with one of the easiest free D.A.W. that’s still on the market today. I’m talking about Audacity. The software was good for recording basic vocals and some instruments. However, it fell short in the mastering department, which was very limited or didn’t exist at all for high tech use. I’ve tried several others and eventually ended with Sonar X3 Producer. Price wise, a Digital Audio Workstation may vary according to its functionalities. Since the software are tailored to meet the specific needs of specific users, you can expect to see the price fluctuating according to the purpose and brand. That leads me back to the reason why I use Sonar X3 Producer. Not only does it meets my needs, the price is right as well!

As a musician, music producer, and sometimes DJ, I fell in love with the versatility of Sonar and what it had to offer. It comes loaded with presets that helps with the workflow so you can quickly move forward with your creative process. It has many virtual instruments, Vst-Plugins and effects, mixing and mastering tools to polish your recordings for CD Quality. It has a built-in step sequencer and even a Matrix View that enables you to create mixes on the fly. It can chop up samples like the Digital MPC’s. It is fully MIDI compatible with all MIDI Keyboards and Controllers. It’s also great for live performances. Even more, Sonar X3 Producer has a fully functional Video Production suite.

So, if you’re a producer of audio and/or video and you are looking for a good recording software that gives you more bang for your buck, I recommend Sonar X3 Producer or the upgrade Sonar Platinum.

D’ Mott Radio Interview With Host Lady Rie

D’Mott Live On Air:

The world can listen to a radio interview with Buffalo, New York most talented indie Gospel singer-songwriter. Gospel recording artist D’Mott appeared live on air with talk show host “Lady Rie” from the Sunday morning radio show at WLQM 1250 AM in Virginia. Tune in below and listen to D’Mott discuss his new project “So Addicted” and more.

D Mott Radio Interview

D’Mott Insight:

De’Juaine G. Motley or D’Mott, as he is affectionately known embarks on his new chapter of his music ministry. His desire is to encourage men and women through the Gospel. He is demonstrating that God’s grace and mercy are real and they are brand new every day. He wants listeners to know that throughout life there will be a testimony and it will help others in some way or form regardless of what they did. God’s love will never change.

D’ Mott “So Addicted” Music Video:

The project “So Addicted” is D’Mott’s first single from his upcoming release “Beautiful Chaos.” “So Addicted” is about D’ Mott’s emergence from the seductive trappings of the world. It tells how God has delivered him from various trials and how blessed he is to minister to everyone in his walk in life.

D’ Mott History:

D’Mott has been fenced by Gospel music and a place of worship all of his life. Even as a young child his attributes did not go unnoticed by the church. However, like many that transition into adulthood he took a turn for the worst. D’ Mott allowed his superficial and materialistic desires rule his thinking.

It was God’s saving grace that took a hold of D’Mott using his musical talent. He began playing drums at King Solomon’s Holiness Church that his grandmother, the late Rev. Arlene Motley-Spells, pastored.

D’Mott carries an anointing that is necessary for this day and time in ministry. So when God chose him for ministry, he didn’t hesitate. Today D’Mott pastors at the Remnant House Outreach Church in Buffalo, New York. He has shared his talents with entertaining icons such as Darwin Hobbs, Beverly Crawford, Bishop Neal Ellis, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Lenny Williams, The Kingdom Comedy Tour featuring Ricky Smiley, Ben Tankard, Earth, Wind and Fire, two singles on “The Scroll Movie” soundtrack featuring TD Jakes, Marvin Sapp, Noel Jones, Wes Morgan, and Al Sharpton. Keep watch for the upcoming release “Beautiful Chaos.” God is not through with D’Mott yet!

Who knew that a kid winning a talent contest in elementary school would eventually end up creating a professional album for the world to hear.

When Love Hurts – Christian Radio Talk Show Topics That Some Would Disagree With

When Love Hurts

Recording artists/radio hosts presents topics that raise the eyebrows!

It’s given that we all experience hurtful situations with family members, in relationships, with our children, and/or close friends. Of course some of the specifics should not be publicized because it will give the devil an open invitation to throw salt and twist things around. However, what the radio hosts share are personal issues that are spiritual assault on a family. They explain what the assaults are and how they would address them.

Next, the radio hosts speak about greed within a ministry. On the same note they share that for the most part ministries should not be something that people get paid for in a substantial way. Pastors should have a regular job and church should be open 24/hrs a day readily available for those they serve. They speak about false doctrine and false preaching that debilitate congregations. In conclusion, the show end with what Christians should resemble. This show for certain might raise a few eyebrows so tune in and leave your comments for the radio hosts!

PREACH FEATURING DA GOSPEL WAY

When we think of music ministers who are on the grind for Jesus, we think of Houston Christian Rapper “Da Gospel Way”. Without a doubt, this artist is very serious about Kingdom building. There's no limit to how far he will go to spread the Gospel through his music.

We have had the pleasure of promoting Da Gospel Way through a track called “Without Love” and now he is back with a Single that hits just as hard!

Preach

He is currently going for adds with the Single "Preach" that he is featured on. It was projected to list on DRT’s Global Top 20 Charts by industry marketers and radio promoters. Swagioso Brazy leads off the song with a hook that’s straight fire while the background music production plays nothing less than amazing sounds! Featured Rapper Da Gospel Way blend into the mix with his bass voice and preach a message that glorifies God to the highest. Together they are a force to be reckoned with and we are very pleased with the project.

The airplay will build over a couple weeks from now and Devine Jamz Promoters will receive our first airplay report Feb. 19th.

Robert Holmes - National Radio Airplay

NATIONAL RADIO AIRPLAY

Singer – Songwriter Robert Holmes received the National Radio Airplay campaign with his song titled “Higher”.  For some, the track might make you think of Jackie Wilson 1967 song “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher” where Jackie sang about a woman’s love.  However, Robert does not refer to a woman that keeps lifting him higher and higher in this project. No, Robert speak of the creator of Love; the one who paid a ransom for all of our lives. It’s all about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

After completing a national radio airplay campaign, “Higher” was placed at #16 on DRT GLOBAL TOP 50 GOSPEL / INSPIRATIONAL AIRPLAY CHART the week of (6-9-18). Robert is also 1 of 3 of our recording artists published by Cashbox Magazine (https://bit.ly/2JUK15g), a prominent competitor of Billboard and placed at #5 on the Gospel Chart the week of (5-24-18). Til this day, Robert continues to put in work for the sake of the Gospel! The signs of God taking him higher and higher is evident and proven!

ABOUT THE SONG HIGHER

When Robert wrote “Higher” he wanted it to have a feel-good vibe that everyone could relate to. Love is such a power thing according to Robert. It causes people to put others before themselves. Robert grew up in a family surrounded by love, so this wasn’t foreign to him. “Even when we don’t deserve a second chance or opportunities it’s because of love that we still obtain certain things in this life”  – Robert Holmes.
